Most coders born around the same time as myself have a similar history. Bought their first TR-7386i machine code interpreter at Compu70's and punched in their first tic-tac-toe game at age 8, spent their teens coding 8bit games and looking at pixelated monochrome ladies on the Arpanet, demonstrated their first realtime globaly-illuminated raytracer on a Commodore CD32 running eight chained Amiga 4000 processors at age 20, etc.

Ok, slight exageration, but either way, 32bit graphics were already mainstream on the PC before I even bothered turning one on so I've had a lot of catching up to do. It's been fun though. I like all facets of programming, but particularly like coding games and graphics related disciplines.

Although not having spent a lot of time in the past on a PC, I did spend much of the 80's playing arcade games like Galaxian, Galaga, 1942, Pacman, Frogger and many others and they have largely influenced the style of games that I've been making. Right now, I'm happy making simple little apps. Eventually, I'll step it up and make some decent stuff but I'm not in a hurry.
